Diana García is a writer, an information professional, an avid reader and traveler. As the daughter of mixed heritage, she grew up straddling the distinct cultures of Costa Rica and the United States, and considers herself fortunate to have gained an additional, adopted home in Germany where she studied as an exchange student. She lived and worked for 16 years in New York City and now resides in Costa Rica with her partner and two cats.

My writing is a continuous work in progress that owes its success to those who have provided the support and constructive criticism that allow me to grow. These include, but are not limited to, my life partner, my dearest friends and family confidantes, the Carrboro Arts Center, the North Carolina Writers' Network and all the writing groups and workshops I have had the privilege to participate in over the years.

I am beyond grateful to all of my readers, and as someone who believes wholeheartedly that the point of literature is to stir the mind and generate thoughtful reflection, I enjoy hearing your responses to my work via the Contact Us page or on the Paradise Loss Book Instagram account. I encourage you to share your impressions and engage in conversation, because without readers, books serve no purpose.
